Optogate PB-06 - Automatic microphone switch for fixed installations

The Optogate PB-06 is our new automatic microphone gate unit, also using the latest optical technology. On this model both XLR-plugs are on the rear. Like the PB-05, the PB-06 is equipped with an infrared sensor and senses if someone is in front of the microphone to switch on the microphone.

The microphone is then switched off automatically if nobody is in front of it. A red status LED indicates if the microphone is switched on. The PB-06 can be screwed under-table for permanent, invisible installation.The PB-06 works with 48 Volt phantom power to eliminate batteries and AC adaptors. Condenser microphones can also be used in connection with the PB-06.

Applications:

The PB-06 is ideal for talk back mics, houses of worship, conferences and podiums. It is much easier to use than an automatic mixer or typical noisegate and much more effective. The PB-06 is an easy, automatic solution for most common problems in conference, townhall and house of worship applications.

By eliminating unwanted background noise of other instruments into unused microphones on stage, the clarity of the mix and the dynamics will be increased due to less phase cancellation and background noise. It reduces the possibility of feedback from unused mics. Just plug & Play...
