Coming soon: The "Smart DI"
Do you think that an ordinary di box could have more useful features
in order to make the life on stage more easy and stressless? The
Smart DI is the answer. This new "Smart DI"
integrates a microcontroller and an LCD display with a bargraph
response of the input or output signal what can be choose with 2
dip switches. The input impedance is more than 1 M Ohm in order
to pick up the signal from high impedance sources without coloration.
The XLR output signal can be regulated from - 60dB up to + 8 dB
with a poti. This gives the user the chance to adjust a more exact
signal level to the desk. This is quite different compared to other
di boxes what usualy contain only a -20dB/-40dB switch. An additional
dip switch will reduce the input signal at additional -20 dB if
speaker signals need to be picked up. The Smart DI senses
if an input connector is connected and will mute the XLR connector
if no input connector is plugged in. The XLR output will be switched
on after about 0,5 seconds if an input connector will be plugged
in. An additional footswitch gives the user the opportunity to mute
the XLR output connector again if it is necessary for instrument
tuning or for a break. The Mute Footswitch can be configured with
a dip switch as toggle switch or as press button
switch. The LCD display will show the actual status of the "Smart
DI". A guitartuner is implemented as well and can be enabled
or disabled with a dip switch. A Flooting Ground switch
and a Phase Reverse switch are implemented as well.
The "Smart DI" works with 48V Phantompower or with an
external 12V power supply. |
Model PB-05
The PB-05 is an automatic microphone gate unit which is based on the latest optical technology. The PB-05 is plugged between microphone and cable. It's equipped with an infrared sensor. The PB-05 senses if someone is in front of the microphone and will switch on the microphone. The distance can be adjusted between 15cm and 120cm with the help of a Trim Pot. The microphone will be switched off automatically if nobody is in front of it. A red status LED indicates if the microphone is switched on. The PB-05 works with 48 Volt phantom power. Condensor microphones can be used in connection with the PB-05. The phantom power passes the microphone. A small push button on the top allows the user to toggle between "Mic On" and "Optogate Enable". The PB-05 is ideal for lead and backing voval mics, acoustical instruments and talk back mics. The PB-05 ist the best and easiest solution for the most common problems in live applications. It eleminates unwanted backgound noise of other instruments into unused microphones on stage. So, the clarity of the mix and the dynamics will be increased due to less phase cancellation and backgound noise. It reduces the possibility of feedback from unused mics. Just plug & Play... |
Model PB-06
The Optogate PB-06 is our microphone gate unit that can be fixed under a table. On this model both XLR-plugs are on the rear of the device. The PB-06 is equipped with an infrared sensor as well and senses if someone is in front of the microphone in order to switch on the microphone. The distance can be adjusted between 15cm and 120cm with the help of a Trim Pot. Inside the case is a 5mm hole for the possobility to fix the PB-06 under a table.

Model PB-07
After taking into account our customers suggestions we developed the PB-07. On this model the sensor is on the flat side. Like the other models the Pb-07 will switch on the microphone if someone is in front of the mic. A red status LED indicates if the microphone is switched on. The PB-07 will switch off the microphone if nobody is in front of the mic. The distance can be adjusted between 15cm and 120cm with the help of Trim Pot. On the back is a 4mm threaded hole for the possibility to mount a clip on the PB-07. In this case the PB-07 can be installed on a mic stand and will disappear behind of the stand. The PB-07 can be connected to a gooseneck microphone as well. The PB-07 works with 48 Volt phantom power and the phantom power passes on the microphone. |
Model PB-09
The Optogate PB-09 is integrated in a mic table stand. As with
the other models it will switch on the microphone if someone is
in front of the mic. The stand base has a "Mic On" button that can
be used as "Push To Talk" or "Mic Latch" switch. These functions
as well as the Optogate function are user programmable with three
dip switches. A fully isolated control input connector allows the
"Remote Control" of the mic in order that a moderator of a conference
can switch on or switch off the mic of other participant. The PB-09
is powered with 48 Volt phantom power. The phantom power passes
the microphone. The 1,2 kg heavy base is cast iron and three rubber
feet provide a good degree acoustical isolation. |
PB-10 Presence detector with person counter
Everybody knows the 2 problems with the use of movement detectors for a room light control: No movement - no light after a while or the light is still on, even if the last person already left the room...
Here is the solution: The PB-10 recognizes the motion direction of a person by the door with the assistance of 2 independent infrared sensors. An internal person counter will save the number of persons in the room and a relay will switch on the light when the number of persons is > 0. The light will be switched off when the last person leaves the room. |
Mini Audio Lab
The Mini Audio Lab is a useful tool for many situations in live applications. A switchable high precision sine wave generator with 30 ISO frequencies is wired to a symmetrical 3 pin male XLR connector. A pink noise generator is also implemented. An additional 1 Watt amplifier, wired to a NL4 connector allows for an easy speaker check. The sound pressure level of the different ISO frequencies can be meausured with a small electret microphone. The Mini Audio Lab will display the sound pressure of the different ISO frequencies. This gives the engineer the opportunity for easy pre adjustment of the FOH equalizer. A feedback frequency indicator is also provided. |
6er Bar Tester
This tester allows an easy test of 6 bars, 4 bars as well as single
lamps. A press on the start button starts the microcontroller and
the tester will make 24 different test procedures in 0,3 sec. The
8 LED's will indicate the test result. |
XLR Generator / 48V Tester
This handy device is avaible in two different versions:
One a Pink Noise generator and the other a 100Hz sine wave generator. Just connect the XLR generator to a desk, switch on the phantom power and the generator will start. In the case of defective cable in the twisted pair the built in LED flashes 2 or 3 times to indicate a fault on the connector pins 2 or 3. If the LED does not illuminate the phantom power is off or the ground of the cable is not connected. The cable might be ok if the LED is on continuously and the generator is working. The output of the XLR generator is balanced.

Phasechecker/Polaritychecker "The Toy"
This is a two-component kit consisting of a phantom-powered "transmitter", built in to a XLR connector and a battery-powered "receiver". Used on its own, the transmitter can check the integrity of the cabling to the mixer. If the cable is undamaged and all three wires are connected, a direct tone is sent to mixer. If not a LED mounted in the connector indicates the nature of the fault. When used with the receiver unit, the combination can also check that the two signal wires are connected in phase or pin-to-pin. If the receiver is used as a source of test pulses to feed a sound system, the receiver can check the phase of the resulting acoustic signal picked up from the internal microphone, or an external microphone. |
XLR-Multitester
This is possibly the smallest XLR multitester with built in microprocessor in the world. It contains an XLR cable tester as well as a 48V phantom power tester and a 120Hz sine generator. It fits in every pocket. The XLR-Multitester can recognize defects like short circuits, wrong polarity and broken wires. Three status leds indicate the test result. The tester is also able to check the 48V phantom power on pin 2 and pin 3 of the XLR when connected to a console. A 120Hz sine wave tone is sent to the mixer if the phantom power is ok. A small 3 Volt, Cr1220 provides the power for the cable test. When connected to the mixer it will use the phantom power from the console for the test. |
230V Power Line Guard
Do you have expensive quipment that needs to be protected from
overvoltages? The Overvolt Protection Unit "Powerline Guard"
is the solution. This small box is connected to the mains while
your equipemtn is connected to the Schuko socket. In the case of
overvoltages the box will switch off immediately (< 0,02 sec)
the 230V from the schuko socket and an implemented piezo beeper
will beep "SOS" as long as overvoltage is present. The
Schuko socket will be switched on automatically when the mains line
voltage is ok again. The trigger voltage range is adjustable with
a small trim pot. A temperature switch switches off the Powerline
Guard completely after about 4 minutes when overvoltage above 400
Volt are present for a longer time. |
Wireless Ampswitch
Are you tired as guitar player on stage to be "fixed" beside of your footboard when you want to change to your solo sound? This problem is now a matter of the past. A remote control device to be fixed with VELCRO tape on the guitar is the solution. A receiver unit, be connected to the amp or distortion device will change the sound or channel when you press a button of the rc. |
DMX-Multitester
This is the smallest DMX cable tester with a build in microcontroller
worldwide. It fits in every pocket due to the small size. It can
recognize defects like short circuits, wrong polarity and broken
cables. 3 status LEDs will indicate the test result. The tester
is also able to check the DMX signal on pin 2 and pin 3, if it is
connected to the lighting desk. |
